Hi dave. I have just had exactly the same problem with an Astra, Another garage fitted several Dealer o2 sensors but it kept logging Heater circuit and 02 sensor faults, after checking I noticed that the Earth to the o2 sensor was poor and didn't know whether it was a floating earth or just a bad earth, The sensor wasn't switching properly either, So i Earthed out the the heater neg wire and the sensor started switching perfectly. It is now out on trial and appears to be ok. ( Hopefully ) Otherwise a new ecu is the next step. But if it does work, An earth wire is much cheaper than an ecu. ??
