Sounds to me like the fuel pressure switch has thrown that code out. Highside or Lowside relates to the fuel pressure, your motor has a in tank pump so is the early version, late ones have only one under n/s/r wheel arch, your pressure switch will be on the filter, later ones on the n/s/f inner wing.
But I would check all again after fitting new pump. Make sure the pump in the engine bay is working too. I always pull outlet pipe off tank pump, see if you have fuel running there, then disconnect electrics off tank pump re-connect pressure pipe, pull pressure pipe off engine bay pump and see what the flow is like, don't know the correct flow/min settings but it should belch out everywhere, if you don't have a pipe to a container as I found out the first time and 1/2 hour steam cleaning engine bay.
