No, not those predominantly Chinese offspring of a trials bike and a go kart that everyone wants but no one has a use for.

I have a quad driver problem on an Astra. Never come across this problem before so am not familiar with exactly what is going on.I know (or think I do) that it is part of the ECU output stage, basically a power transistor. Can't find any concise info on the interweb. I am following TIS and have tech2 to help. Tis is written in a way that dosn't explain the function, just a step by step diagnoses. I like to understand.
Why quad, does it drive four outputs?
Are all quad drivers the same?
Do all ECU's have quad drivers?
Can they be repaired on some/all ECU's?

I am sure there was a discussion about this in the early days of UKAT but archive search brings up nothing.
