    Hi Nige

    We had one with exactly the same fault but intermittent a few weeks ago. If I remember correctly you should have five primary waveforms at the coil pack.
    There is also an ignition control unit mounted on the bulkhead. This should have supply gnd & five trigger signals from the ecu on the top plug.
    The lower plug switches the coils primary circuits, we confirmed the control unit at fault by scoping the trigger from the ecu, the current demand and the coil that was not firing.
    When the fault occurred the signal from the ecu was present but the primary trigger and current waveform were not. Hope this helps, I am posting from memory I can hunt out the jobcard if you need any more info.
