Cam sensor and crank sensor give similar voltage outputs, but obviously a different pattern. Try your multimeter and measure AC output on both sensors at crank, should be similar and give you an indication of what you are looking for. Have either the crank pulley or cam pulley on which the sensor picks up on been changed? Were they damaged in the crash? They have blips cast into the back for the sensor to pick up on, and I have had wrong ones fitted, Peter
