As Shaun says, twiddle and twiddle but its how you twiddle that makes the difference. The small wheel you refer to has a very fine thread on it which moves a hook along the inside of the cover till it unhooks from the lower plate. The wheel also has a series of small holes (2mm approx) drilled into its circumference radially. The top plate has a slot in it that gives you access to the holes in the wheel. I use a 1.5mm allen key, which I insert the long end into the lowest hole and pull the allen key up towards me. Ensure allen key is inserted fully into hole, you dont need to lever it. It will move approx 30 degrees, then remove allen key and re insert in lowest hole, repeat above step several million times till top cover virtually falls off. HTH Mike
