    Hi Nige

I would be interested to here some views on this code. I have seen it on two Citroen Picasso's 1.6 (Engine NFV)

    P1327 cylinder 1 reference sensor (snap-on)
    P1327 phase detection sensor (Autodiagnos)

From what I have been told, this code relates to the method used by the PCM to determine what phase the engine is in. As there is no cam position sensor on these, the firing cylinder needs to be recognised for sequential injection to commence. It may be possible for the PCM to recognise the firing cylinder from the difference in the primary signal from the coil pack (firing paired cylinders). Once the last firing cylinder has been detected, the PCM can proceed to commence with sequential running.

Sounds feasible hey, but it could be complete cobblers.

Master’s Bamford & Wagstaff will surely be forthcoming with info.

    Cheers all

    Dave (Hill)
