    Hi Peter, My telephone/internet has been down for 10 days-- this is a bit late apologies:-

    BMW V12 M70 DME 1.2 "EML"= Electronic Motor Load Regulation operates the throttle valves electrically via throttle position "actuators" instead of by mechanical means. The M70 operates as two separate 6cyl engines with a common block and crank. The two DME modules are synchronised by the EML module which also controls eml light.

    Fault codes which appear on BMWs without the cause components being fitted are v.common but do not usually effect the performance[My own BM always turns up a "faulty cruise control" which the car hasn't got.

    Possible help: The multyconnectors to the two TP Actuators [top front of each bank] suffer from corrosion causing intermittent operation and loss of power. Suggest best cleaner/protector is Wurth Contact Ol type SW. Good luck P.B.
