citroen c3 2004 1400cc KFV sagem fly by wire fault Archived Message

    Vehicle towed in to me.

Will not rev up. Will start and idle fine. As you press accelerator the engine trys to lift revs and goes very rich.

The fly by wire throttle is not opening.

Dec reads fault code po605 which various interpretations generally come as internal ecu failure or rom failure.

I have checked accelerator position sensor which is twintrack and both seem ok.

I have checked wiring from ecu to throttle body which appears ok. Dc motor on throttle body measures about 4 ohms. Motor does twitch a bit when ignition cycles but thats all.

Car broke down whilst driving along.

Have found if you manually open throttle when someone holds throttle it revs up so mechanically ok.

Have measured throtte position sensors and they are ok. After opening throttle by hand I obviously then get various throttle body faults showing so ecu is seeing body ok.

ATP cannot test or repair ecu which is £515 plus vat.

Just wondered whether anyone else had same problem or can suggest another souirce for testing.

Local dealer say they have never sold an ecu like this one but I find that hard to beleive after all it is french.

Coil pack looks the type that blows ecu's am wondering if this might have spiked it.

    Any thought are welcome

    thanks

    John
