    Thanks Steve for such a comprehensive post you're a professional. I am going to print this one off. I wonder if this procedure would have cured my golf? I'm quite sure the same problem is going to rear its ugly head again. Funnily enough the guys at my local VW dealer who are more than helpful did say they are having problems with re-adaptations on later VW's even using the genuine equipment, not achieving a result often until the third attempt.
