    Hi John,

    You didn’t say why its not starting. Lack of spark etc.

    If you do not use a scope you can check a hall sensor reasonably accurately with a meter. It will have 3 wires. Terminals often marked + - and 0. + is supply. – is of course ground. O is signal. The signal will be a ref voltage from the ECU and can be from 5v to 10v. This ref voltage is pulled to ground by the sensor depending on its position relative to the trigger. Put your meter on the signal wire and turn the engine slowly by hand to check it gets pulled down properly.

    Depending on the scan tool you have you may be able to check for a speed signal in live data to see if the CKP is giving a signal.

    Did you check for codes in the immo? It is common for these to go out of sync if they are powered down for a period of time.
