    I have had the same issue on one of these, but at lower fuel level, I did a temp fix by adjusting the float arm (advised owner). At 20 ltrs it's a bit much for that dodge.

    I could not remove pot in the tank (without risk of damage) & it's not supplied as a separate part. I did check the ports where clear, fuel running in very fast. I also noted that the pickup strainer has gauze on both top & bottom of it, so the fuel will need to completely cover the pickup to prevent air entering the pump.

    As I understand the idea is that the excess fuel returning from the engine enters the pot in a jet form, so by creating a slight pressure drop around it, (Ventura effect) drawing in more fuel. In effect the level in the pot should then be higher than the tank when the engine is running. Not sure if this level should be maintained by non return flaps when engine stops.

    I did check the return pipe was connected, but did not think at the time to check the return was not leaking petrol back to tank rather than the pot, would be worth a look.
