Ford Fiesta Endura 1.3, J4, P 1996 - Poor idle quality Archived Message

This car has poor idle quality. I have trawled the archives and read about the throttle pot and ISCV, both replaced by a previous garage and both appear o.k. on the 'scope. Fuel pressure is 2.7 bar, STF & LTF 0%, but it is running very lean. Lambda, datastream and live, is 100mv, and responds to blipping the throttle and carb. clean into the intake, but not brilliantly. Another lambda sensor made no difference. At first I thought I had an air leak on the inlet manifold, but I've wasted a can of carb. clean around all the joints and pipes to no effect. There are no DTC's logged, but scrolling through the live data (ACR 4) I get FAULT-OPEN LOOP. With the engine up to temperatue and no DTC's logged, why is the ecu not going into closed loop? Hope someone can help, TIA, Peter
