Hi Martin. Your post takes me back some Ten years ago+ when we first encountered this problem.IAP8P20 strikes thoughts of terror.Providing you are confident that no fundemental issues prevail this will be an ecu fault, make sure the fuel pressure is correct, and injectors are ok and have not been substituted for ones with a different flow rate, check all sensory inputs and tee in a vac gauge to map sensor line and check for 18-22in hg of vac, correct cam timing is imperative on map sensed cars.I understand you have fitted a recon ecu from atp who i hold in great esteem, but this does not mean it is structured with the corrective software to overcome this problem. As mentioned at the start of this post we were engaged with this problem a long time ago,we at the time were fortunate to be a weber/webcon agent, and as they were, and still are a main importer of marellie components we was made aware that software problems were prevelant. You may laugh at this but we were sworn to secrecy over what was becoming a real problem on peugeot and citreon cars.We fitted dozens of modified control units and were amazed at the different levels of software that exsisted in say just three monthes. All of the units came directly from the factory via Weber and solved every car with specific emission problem.I do hope this post will save you a lot of time as this fault nearly cost me a divorce.See how your job develops,if you decide to go factory ecu let me know and i will put you in touch with Martin Eva at Webcon.Good luck. Regards Trevor.
