    Looks like I had the full monty with this one!
    Exhaust back pressure was up (6 psi under load) stripped exhaust down pipe and sure enough Pre cat??? was loose and rattling around although can't see how it a cat before the O2 sensor!
    Vehicle was reving much cleaner with that fixed but still felt flat and hunted at tick over and now a fault code for the EGR was logged (turned out to be bits of the pre cat thingy stuck in the valve)repaired this but still felt flat. Cut a huge story short, the cam chain had stretched as well! Fixed that and it's now OK.
