Land Rover Freelander (Year 2000) 1.8 (MEMS) - ABS hill desent light on and engine hesitating Archived Message

    Fellow Techs

    Two problems with this vehicle.

    1. ABS/Hill Descent Light/TC lights on
    DTC: Shuttle Valve Switch Failure.
Solenoid Valves Resistances measure ok (according to data from Autodata)
Voltage reading at ECU (when measuring the pressure switch which is located in the hydraulic modulator) does not change. Should be 4v dropping to 2v as you depress but it reads -7volts.
Moreover, we loose communication with the system as soon as car starts moving...

We believe it is the hydraulic modulator but any tips would be helpfull as we were quoted 1800 pounds...

    2. Engine starts hesitating and revs dropping as soon as you reach 5000 rpm in all gears but 1st. Revs will keep droping unless you lift off and accelerate again.
Cannot check fuel pressure (returnless system - cannot see a point on to which we can connect a fue pressure gauge).
    Ignition parts in good condition.

    No DTC available,

    Thank you for your time
