Bit the bullet and got a new ECU from Vauxhall. As you guys mentioned - £165 retail + the dreaded. They charged half an hour to fit and program - job done! Happy customer and I made a few quid myself. What more can you ask! Would of been nice if I could of programmed it though :-(
