The vehicle is not immobilised and the pump is chain driven off the crank on this engine. I've checked out the Autodata wiring diagram for this engine and it shows four wires connecting the pump control module to the engine control module. Is there any other checks I can do to check out signals to/from the pump? Are these pumps troublesome? This car has done just over 100000 miles. I've also heard mention that collapsed fuel filters can cause this problem as well. Has anyone come across this?
