i drive a e36 328 1996. mine started stalling (or dipping low when coming to idle) i code read the vehicle and came up with a faulty knock sensor (turns out they were disconected) vehicle was in (limp home) and obviously had no engine management light to warn me. replaced, cleared code and was spot on. then 3 mnths later same happens with the stalling and rough idle, code read, camshaft sensor down, replace clear and perfect. seems when these go into limp home it affects the idle big time. suggest you sort the speed sensor out and get rid of all codes first and try it my friend.
