NOx isn`t part of the MOT emissions test(not yet anyway)and I have seen a few "modifications" to disable EGR,blanking plates and ball bearings stuffed down vac pipes.This model has a knock sensor but I suppose it would affect performance a bit if the timing was retarded constantly to fight the knock caused by the extra heat.Good tip Peter,thanks.
