All Sorted!I bit the bullet and bought the injector!
Fitted it and everything was fine.
Surprisingly, for a Jap motor, the part was inexpensive to the point of being cheap!
£130 + VAT! I had expected it to be two or even three times as much (consider how much the VW ones are)
So A couple of observations;
1) To extract codes connect the link that is described by AD, BUT leave it perminently connected while reading codes. The "connect for 2 seconds" does not work.
2) The Nissan fault codes appear to be "reliable" (at least as far as code 34 is concerned anyway) IE componants that are faulted are generally faulty! I have found this with Jap systems before.
3) I was not able to find a way of erasing the fault codes HOWEVER, a few seconds of running with the new injector fitted resulted in the light going out and the ECU resetting itself.
