Hi John. Is this the Isuzu 16 valve engine with the ecu on the pump as well as the one on top of the engine, if so We have had one of these in as a non runner, it turned out to be a faulty ecu on the pump, Ecu repairers did not want to know, as they don't do much on diesels, so we fitted a used ecu, the vehicle ran without coding, and we also managed to repair the original ecu, but possibly due to swapping and changing ecu's, the vehicle stopped the day after and wouldn't restart, so we came to the conclusion that the ecu's were working ok but would not communicate with each other properly as it kept coming up with immobiliser fault codes, so we reprogrammed both ecu's with the latest updates and reset them and it has been fine since, I don't know about the ecu on top of the engine, but the pump ecu's are not potted.
