Volvo S40 2.0 B4204S 1998 (R) - Indicators come on when selected but do not flash - Fixed #

indicators come on when selected but do not flash. All indicators come on when hazards selected but agsin, no flash.

Do these have a flasher relay somewhere or is this a "BSI" type system.

If relay, where is it.

(Autodata does not seem to have wiring information on this, though, now I think, I didnt actually check the relay/fusebox section for flasher relays, Will do later. However any light shed will be gratefully received)

I'm afraid this is one of them old dinosaurs with a flasher unit!It plugs into the relay box behind dash above pedals,although it is usually hidden behind a metal support bar.It is a conventional 3-pin type but if I recall it has reverse pin layout .Part is around £20 from Volvo.

New relay fitted. Job done!

Arent dinosaurs wonderfull!!

No BSI nonsence,

No "recoding"

No scanners required! (At least for the indicators anyway)
