Nissan Primera 2.0 2000 - Timing chain rattle #

Engine Code or Type *: SR20DE

Hi chaps have a primera with cam chain rattle, have changed tensioner genuine nissan it was quite for a short time but went noisey again have changed oil & filter,still noisey. Any ideas please. Thanks Iain

I know some think i,m perfect and get the hump, but try using the search function above. Put in Nissan timing chain and view the results.

am i reading this correctly? you have changed the tensioner but not the chain?
how much is the new tensioner protruding?

Without removing it again you can't tell. Why do Nissan sell them? Chain replacement would cost more than the car is worth. I did check archives didn't find anything.

Are you really saying you could not see any results if you put Nissan timing chain in the search box !!!
There is a BIG problem with nissan timing chains.
Why would nissan sell tensioner ? To that i would answer why would any-one fit one with-out checking the chain ??
