Peugeot 206 1.1 HFX 2001 - No communication, unable to put out MIL after misfire repair #

Year of Manufacture *: 2001
Engine Code or CC *: HFX 1.1cc
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Autocom / Snap On

Vehicle came in with misfire condition, tried to scan but no comms. Checked misfire condition, turned out to be faulty injector, replaced injector car now running OK, but I cant extinguish the M.I.L. which was flashing for a while and is now permanently on.
I tried scanning the other systems out of curiosity but can get no comms on anything, checked all fuses OK tried EOBD on to different scanners and vehicle specific software on two different scanners! Anybody got any ideas where to go now?

Hi Mark,
Have you checked that diagnostic socket has power on pin 16 and that pins 4 & or 5 are ground.

Just a thought for the first place to start.

Thanks for the input Tony, but my Code reader powers up of the socket so I guess there's power there.
Don't know how to respond to Mark Carter unless that was meant for you Tony, if you mean i should go on training courses then I've done that.

I'll check Can bus for any signals and grounds and come back to you.

Hi Mark.
I also guess the socket has power if your scanners power up.

Mark's comment was meant for me, I'm sure. He has delivered just about every course I've been on.

From your post, I gather you have used at least two different scanners, so I am starting to suspect ECU.

Looking through the achives I came across the post linked below where injectors have knocked out the ECU.

Thanks for the input guys, looks like I should have gone to Specsavers! One of the female connectors inside the DLC had pushed back inside so i wasn't getting a connection. I pushed it back through from behind and got my comms.
