Seat Ibiza AZQ 2003 - Cam and crank waveform required - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2003
Engine Code or CC *: AZQ

Does anyone have a good crank to cam scope pattern saved i can view please.

long story but my conclusions are drawing to this and the little caps in the end of the cam are solid so without possibly causing damage a scope is the best way.

Personally I would check the timing properly, if it's twin cam then you'll only be able to verify one cam and not the other with a scope. I've been caught out with this before.

tahnks for the replies have smashed the caps off the end of the head and my thoughts were right the timing is a country mile out.

Just didn't want to break the caps staright away for fear of any damage that might occour yuo know what customers are like

New chain fitted starts and runs atreat

Sorry Kevin didn't paty enough attention came to me as non runner supposedly it ran ok until it burnt out No3 ign coil which was rewired badly and had a new crank sensor fitted.

I had loads of fault codes stored but nothing to do with cam/crank sync only P0355 kept loosing rpm signal on scope from crank sensor at ecu rectified wiring and then moved on finding the timing was out after checking injectors spark etc.

My guess is that the engine must have been turned backwards as the chain wasn't that badly worn with no oil pressure the tensioner lost it, as the exhaust cam was 2 teeth out.

Yes, most likely engine was turned backward,s.
Seems common after the fast clutch boys do up the clutch cover bolts !!!
