Mazda MPV 2.3 DOHC 2002 - Burning oil after timing chain / engine rebuild #
Posted by David Reid on May 7, 2010, 11:02 am Timing Chain slipped and caused valves to break and create a hole in Piston No.3 and severely damaged cylinder head. After replacing piston and head with second hand parts the car is excessively burning oil. We have replaced all valve stem oil seals etc but when carrying out compression test the results are way off the gauge. The engine seems to be breathing ok.
