Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 Z12XEP 2004 - Non start, code P0560 system voltage malfunction - Fixed #

Engine Size and Code *: 1000cc Z10XEP
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Tech 2
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0560 System voltage malfuntion

Hi all

Intermittent non start with both engine check lights flashing rapidly

Fault code P0560 System voltage malfunction

Voltage at time of non start at ECM pins engine cranking:-

Pins 33, 49,51,18, Match battery voltage approx 10.5 volts

Voltage drop on wiring less than .25 volt
Voltage drop on earth from ECM less than .25 volt
Cannot see a differance between start and non start

Can anyone help please

What is this thing missing for it to be a non-start..ie fuel or spark or both?

Hi Pete

No injector or spsrk

Fault code returns when non start and forgot to mention no comms with Tech 2 when fault present and cranking

Try starting the engine with the throttle body disconnected.If it runs,then there is a good chance the engine ecu is u/s.Done 2 this month.hth

Personally I would start by making sure the common dash fault isn't the cause. It causes all sorts of wierd and wonderful codes and does exactly what you're describing. Not to mention dead easy to test if the cars faulting.

try putting an extra earth from one of the ecu bolts directly to the battery earth. ray

Hi all

Thanks for replys

Ended up as bad connections between PCM and connector block

Removed all supply terminals, pinched up slightly and so far it's O.K.

Adding extra earth made no differance
