VW Passat 1.8 AWT - MIL on, code P0441 fuel evaporation system flow #

Year of Manufacture *: 2003
Engine Size and Code *: awt
( Optional ) Scanner Used: kts po441

This vehicle came into the workshop, engine light on. Code read ECU, one fault P0441 fuel evaporation system flow rate faulty.

Does this mean the charcoal filter system. Were is it and how does the system see activation of the valve, is it by lambda change.

Can anyone shed some light on this fault

I can't shed any light on the location of the canister nor the valve, but there's nothing wrong with your thought process.HTH

The valve is normally by the air filter housing and seem to remember the canister is near the tank, but tracing the pipes from the valve will get you to it.

ps Valve position is listed on Auto-data, did you look ?
