Diahatsu Hi Jet 1.3 2003 - Wiring diagram required - Fixed #

Engine Size and Code *: 1300
( Optional ) ECU Type: denso

Does anyone hace a wiring diagram for one of these. It just decided one day it wasn't going to start! Thanks in advance

Sounds like the starter is lost

Hi Mark,
If it is just the starter circuit, it can't be that involved on that vehicle? can it?
I am just trying to find out what is wrong,

Does it crank?

has it got a live feed to the injectors?

Do the dash lights come on?

Sorry a very poor post! The dash lights come on but there is no EML. Vehicle turns over but doesn't start. There is no power to ECU. All fuses and relay's checked. Just wanted a diagram before I got really stuck into it. It was just parked up over christmas and then decided it wouldn't start on Tuesday morning(a bit like my staff!!)

May just be corroded wiring underneath where the battery + wire comes through the floor from the battery box and the wire circuit breakers (like Micra had) have either blown or corroded away. When you say you have checked fuses, is there a good power supply to them or just that they illuminate a test probe?

You can go on the owners site and download a PDF file with a lot of info on it, it,s about 90 mb however, I got it one time for an intermittent fault with one that seemed to have no diagnostic socket that I could find, no engine management light either but turned out in the end to be the fuel pump.

As far as I can remember there is a green/yellow wire that feeds both the injectors and coils.This wire is fed from a relay under steering coloumn. Check that this relay is getting a ign feed. If not, feed it from the ign switch through a fuse. I have had this many times when I worked with a Diahatsu dealer. Also as mentioned, give a good check at battery live fuse links.

Thanks for the replies. Got a workshop manual off ebay which arrived this morning. There was no rush to fix this vehicle so I didn't want to waste time chasing wires around trying to find out where they go. The fault was the green/black wire which is the feed for the main relay which had corroded and broken just above the offside front tie rod mount. Once I had the correct information it took 45 mins to sort. Thanks again.
