Renault Laguna 1.8 16v 2001 - Fault on motorized throttle unit, code 6F4 & 6F5 #

Engine Size and Code *: 1.8 16v
( Optional ) ECU Type: sagem s2000
( Optional ) Scanner Used: dec scan

Hi all
Got the above vehicle in at the moment. The vehicle came from another garage. They have fitted a new throttle valve for reasons unknown to me, but the vehicle is going into limp home ocassionaly on a road test. Ive fault coded the engine system and got 6F4 motorized throttle automatic control fault and 6F5 motorized throttle limits search fault.
Ive looked in live data and the pedal sensor and throttle valve look o.k. It also says throttle limit programming active. Ive looked in the archieves and there is alot of mention about the engine ecu been reflashed after a new throttle valve been fitted. Can anybody tell me if this is the case for this vehicle?

Hi Jamie

Never had a Laguna throttle issue myself, but i have read that with a Laguna, ECU has to be re-flashed and programming of throttle body.

where on a Clio for instance it doesn't.

So, answer to your question I would say yes.

But this is only on the basis of what I am led to believe by well respected technicians.

Hi Jamie,

Why does your term "Fault coded" wind me up so much??

You will need to check if this vehicle has the latest software installed in the engine control unit before going any further.

This can be done with Renault CLIP or Autologic french.

Thanks for the replies, i dont have renault clip or autologic french but i know somebody who has renault clip. Mike i dont know why the term fault coded winds you up so much, but if you tell me i can make sure i dont do it again.
