BMW 316 2004 - Misfire on #2 cylinder, vanos fault? - Fixed #

Hi

I have a misfire on no 2 cylinder, when I unplug the vanos motor the compression comes back

Can you help

Hi Kev

With the rocker cover off as soon as you crank the engine the vanos motor spins and moves leaver arm to its limit, if you let the engine run after 3 to 4 minutes it comes back onto 4 cyls turn it off and start it straight back up its back on 3 cyls again till its run 3 to 4 minutes. It comes up with the code 2a67 vvt activation on solus pro scaner.
