Ford Focus 1.6 2004 - Lost power on a few occasions, code P060a - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2004
Engine Size and Code *: 1600cc
( Optional) Fault Codes: p060a

Hi guys

Had a customer call in on friday saying her 04 ford focus 1.6 had lost power on a few occasions, not cut out but slowed down enough for her to have to pull over . emissions light had came on as well .
Code present was p060a control module monitoring processor performance. Being busy on Friday ive asked her to bring the car in this week so i can spend some time on it and also find some info on the code as it isnt listed in my trouble codes book or autodata can anyone help or has anyone dealt with this code before.

The car had pre cat 02 sensor fitted by me about three weeks ago in case its worth mentioning

Very usefull information.
It's a pity other systems/manufacturers information isn't readily avaialble. It would make understanding the reason for faults being logged much easier & maybe the logic behind some of the faults which don't seem to make sense.

ok just a quick update after a bit of research , reading the info provided by alan and a call to ford technical i had a chat with customer who decided to go with a software update i have not heard anything yet but will keep you informed

ok finally seen this customer on friday who said since the update the car has been fine so looks like this was fixed with a software update

Thanks Lee, had to fish out our Blue Oval Club details but got there eventually.

They couldn't help much with my issue but handy to have the number for the future.
