Renault Clio 1.2 16v D4F-772 2007 - None start, immobilizer? - Fixed #
Posted by Phil Madeira on August 21, 2013, 10:37 am This car was towed in by the customer as a none start. The immobiliser light on the dash flashes until the key is inserted - then stays on. The car does not crank on the first attempt but will crank for three seconds on the second attempt. This happens every time. There are no stored fault codes in uch or immobiliser ecus. We cannot get comms with the engine ecu, We have checked power and grounds to engine ecu and had a good look around the engine fuse box for wiring corrosion issues all seem ok. We are thinking ths could be a wiring fault? and the immobiliser is not communicating with the engine ecu. That's where autodata and e3 technical let us down as we have now information on how this system works or wiring info. Any help would be much appreciated, there is a post on this same fault previously, it suggests checking the engine fuse box, but ends there with no fix posted.
