The vehicle came in with misfire on cylinder 3, Mil light on, Checked for fault codes, only 1 listed. Checked for switch signal to coil pack, everything in order. Fitted new Delphi Coil Pack and Bosch Spark Plugs from Local Motor Factor. Cleared Fault Codes and Road tested. Customer taken car home, approximately 10 miles, came back out 1/2 hour later and car not starting. Went out last night and checked over, car not cranking over, immobiliser /spanner light not going off, fuel gauge initially rising, then drops back to zero Following DTCs now stored in System. Unable to clear DTCs from System.

1.Has anyone had issues after fitting Delphi Coil Packs to this model of car?
2.Has Voltage Spike caused damage to one or more modules on system?
3.Would error in CIM? be possibly at fault and have nothing to do with fitting of coil pack. Just seems very strange, that it should Non Start, after fitting replacement Coil Pack.
Any advice would be welcome.

Just gone through the same scenario with that engine code on a Meriva, customer supplied ECU, ABS, BCM, and Immo modules to get the car up and running, still having problems with comms as I type! If you have a scope check integrity of Can signals at ECU or ABS mine were corrupted. Mark.

I have almost exactly the same fault, local well known fast fit fitted a new coil to a C4 with a misfire now it won't start. Not had chance to look at it yet but the coil is from ECP.
Thanks for everyone's help. Cross referenced coil packs with Delphi Original Part No 1104082 6F28GM and aftermarket No CE20009-12B1A, these checked out as matched. Colleague with Tech 2 suspected possibly engine Ecu causing communication error, programmed up spare test Ecu, vehicle now able to start and run, cleared codes. New Ecu Part No FDMP 55561172 purchased, Local dealer had 2 on the shelf, would appear to be common failure point, and just coincidendental that coil pack had just been fitted. Suspect stupid component mounting location on manifold causing excessive expansion and contraction to Ecu, causing internal circuit failure, thus leading to early failure of part. Very Poor Design By Vauxhall.
