Nissan X-trail 2.0 T30 2004 - High revs - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2004
Engine Size and Code *: 2.00 T30
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Solus Ultra

We have this x trail that we started up one morning and revs at 2000 rpm when in park or neutral and hunts slightly. When placed in drive or reverse the revs drop down to 900 rpm.
The car was perfectly fine the day before!!!
No dtc stored no air leaks and fuel trims look good.
I believe you can do a Manuel throttle body reset using the gas pedal etc. Tried this several times and it dosnt seem to work any one else had any joy using this method? or do you have to you use a scanner?? Snap on ultra has no option to do this. Or am i missing something

Never been able to fix these with the manual procedure.Snap-on,no chance.There is scanner that will do it.(can't remember which).I would also check the battery condition.

After 2 days, 1/4 tank of petrol wasted and a lot of cursing we managed to do a manual reset which in turn sorted out the high revs.

From reading threads ive found out that if you unplug the Throttle body you have to do an idle reset so if you value your sanity DONT unplug it!!

Hi guys

The manual reset does work if at the end of the procedure you put it into drive and let it run like that for a few minutes.

Remember,with the reset the car must be over 70 Â°C and under 100mm Â°C.
