Hi Guys,

i have a 116i which has failed MOT due to excessive smoke, now this only happens every now and again and sure enough it happened at the test center.
the car passed the emissions test.
1 fault code present(DTC 2EFE which relates to the fan). im aware the CCV/PVC valves give trouble on these which i assumed would have been the fault but apparently from Bavarian this engine does not have the valve it only has a breather build onto the manifold which is £250+ for manifold.
when the oil filler cap is removed the engine idle does go erratic and you get a slight suction(not excessive like they normally do when CCV valve goes). im assuming its getting oil into the inlet manifold but just cant find out how ATM. chassis No. WBAUF12010PW32237
has anyone came across this issue before or any ideas?
