I've had a quick read of the Wiki entry on Slovakia and WW2. They did become part of the Axis powers, as you say, but later in the war things dramatically changed with the Slovak National Uprising, a partly successful `resistance movement to fight German occupation. But even having read the article, I still have to sort out the confusion. But that doesn't mean, 70 years later, that Slovak still wish to fight Russia on any basis, and they haven't supported any arms supplies to Ukraine.
