I wish I could believe that...but I have a terrible sense that they will try something horribly dangerous before this is all over.

Our political class are sad-sacks...observing UK and European leaders is much the same as watching Tony and David's obsequious show in front of CJ in Reggie Perrin where every idiocy uttered by the US can only be "Super!"..."Great!" or both.

At every failure they have doubled down and lost...to the extent that it's become a pattern which appears to predispose them to repeat it again and again...and this at the very moment in time when we need leaders capable of independent thought with an ability to assess dangers commensurately.

-This lot of gutless wonders just can't do that, which is quite something considering the actual lack of any ideological difference to justify their extremist reactions to Russia.
