Not a single picture of the heartbroken families of those killed, nor a single name.

If each dead Palestinian were to receive the same page space as the four Israelis, then this would take up several whole pages of the Guardian's internet edition. But they were never real people, I suppose.

The total rescued hostages now numbers seven. so that's well over five hundred dead Palestinians for each retrieved hostage. Though of course we could also add that nearly half that number of those rescued were shot dead by the Israelis themselves.
