So many Labourites can't walk away: I've seen it in my personal life as well as in reported politics. They are totally drugged by their fantasies of belonging to 'a progressive party that has achieved so much', etc. Plus there is the pull of all the long-term personal connections and shared histories people have. It's actually pretty fucking pitiful, when measured against the scale of the harm that is done by keeping this political monstrosity alive.
