re: Phillips, I understand she tepidly advocated for a ceasefire but refused to quit Labour Friends of Israel and even denied being a 'member' despite her name being on LFI's list of 'parliamentary supporters' (technically they don't have 'members') which subsequently got removed from their website in the run-up to the election. She also repeated Israel's bullshit 'right to self-defence' argument and supported 'proportionally targeted' attacks on Gaza:

Her cry-bully acceptance speech was quite something to behold, even invoking the murdered Jo Cox to denounce her opposition as 'aggressive' and 'violent':





'Today I was due to be joined on the election trail by the family of Jo Cox and there is absolutely no way I could have allowed them to see what was going on here, what was aggressive and violent in our democracy. [...]

Expressing gratitude to West Midlands Police for their response to the “aggression that we have suffered” during the campaign, she concluded: “I didn’t bring my children here tonight, because I knew this would happen and they deserve better.”'

Unfortunate they didn't manage to get the win against her, and she fully deserved the boos and heckling she got.
