Reporter found guilty of spying in trial thought to have been rushed in preparation for prisoner swap
A lot of the time, although not always, that's a bit of a giveaway. They've protested a little bit but not like a campaign with relentless coverage and presentation of "Here's what actually happened..". They've decried it but that's it, which is another giveaway really.
When they know they can't push a fake narrative (presumably because the Russians will present their evidence in detail to counter it, thus exposing his [I'm assuming] guilt).
The "sham" trial rushed through so they can trade spooks all seems to suggest he was bang at it.
...no amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party...So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin.
