Fair do's, though for me trust doesn't really come into it - if their analysis is correct it's correct, end of story. Also, I don't know if the y/t algorithm is showing you different comments to mine, but when I scrolled through there were only a couple that seemed conservative, one 'RFK supporter' and one summing up progressive media as 'Orange Man Bad' (which doesn't necessarily mean the commenter supports the Orange Man). The 2016 Bernie campaign is a touchstone for them, as for BJG, and that's more of the vibe I get, of disillusioned progressives betrayed by the dems. Whether that acts as a conduit to the right remains to be seen IMO, though I expect you'll say that people like Greenwald, Dore, Brand etc are well on the way, or already there.
Haven't watched enough of the channel to judge about being soft on Trump / republicans, but would agree with your Dore+smarts description
