For the record I've stopped watching any of the 'progressive' outlets mentioned in this. Breaking Points was the last one. They're all mainstream adjacent and have no real principles. Plus I already pay too much attention to Americans as it is...

I agree with a lot of what they say, on a lot of things, but I still don't really trust them.

They described themselves as the "one-stop shop for leftist politics" but their audience is solidly conservative (as usual look at the comments under their videos, massively conservative, almost no leftists) and their content is solidly biased to 95% attacking the Democrats and the "supposed" left of American politics and then much more neutral to positive pieces on Trump and almost nothing on the hideous Republicans.

They are Jimmy Dore with more intelligence.

Fair do's, though for me trust doesn't really come into it - if their analysis is correct it's correct, end of story. Also, I don't know if the y/t algorithm is showing you different comments to mine, but when I scrolled through there were only a couple that seemed conservative, one 'RFK supporter' and one summing up progressive media as 'Orange Man Bad' (which doesn't necessarily mean the commenter supports the Orange Man). The 2016 Bernie campaign is a touchstone for them, as for BJG, and that's more of the vibe I get, of disillusioned progressives betrayed by the dems. Whether that acts as a conduit to the right remains to be seen IMO, though I expect you'll say that people like Greenwald, Dore, Brand etc are well on the way, or already there.

Haven't watched enough of the channel to judge about being soft on Trump / republicans, but would agree with your Dore+smarts description

That's where I heard them first anyway.

I could have been too harsh and I do listen to them now and again. I think I'm hyper-sensitive to content tailored to an audience; I always wonder if they mean it. I'm always open to hearing them unlike Dore for example.

Nader's pretty good but a bit too much shilling for his newspaper/site in that interview.

The media blitz for Harris is something else; my theory is progressing nicely

I can't believe they planned it but hanging on to Biden for so long seems to have tilted the Trump campaign.

Well yes, you have to wonder given that's what the whole model of online 'content creation' is all about, the temptation always there to chase what get the most clicks etc. Sadly the percentage of the over all population that wants to hear the truth (and deal with the depression and social ostracisation it brings) is vanishingly small. Though not as small as msm hacks would want us to believe...
