Saying “no” outright to the uncommitted Palestinian is more than just AIPAC money: Even AIPAC know how to strategize. Saying “no” outright is self-confidence = “we don’t need you any more, go away”. They are confident this won’t change between now and November, since this is burned bridges (a go-go? :-)

This kind of election time polling is pretty carefully done, too. This is where donor money goes.
