Donahue was massive back in the day although he was a bit of yesterday's man when he spoke truth to power on Iraq. But he was a HUGE name in the US msm before that so his firing because he opposed the Iraq war crime was pretty massive, although the msm did their usual play down, omit and memory hole thing to make sure it wasn't treated as such.

I'm reading "The Achilles Trap" by Steve Coll at the moment which is a history of the US and Iraq in the modern era (basically from the late 70s to now) and it's very good...so far.
