If Rogan is the most popular, then I guess the depressing truth is that he reminds the greatest number of Americans of themselves: Great armies of low level corporate types: Traveling salespeople, people with lives in office cubicles etc., maybe some tattoos, drink a bit, can’t see really outside the matrix, suspect something may be there but don’t think too hard about it (or anything), don’t want to lose their jobs or promotions by questioning too much, so just trust their social instincts, never any growth beyond a certain stage. He seems to perfectly mimic that: Never any growth beyond just a hint that there could be some weird shit like you sometimes see in the movies, which is “just, like weird ya know, my brother is convinced its all true, says he read up on it, I’m not sure, oh well, glad its not me.”, the end.
