What I haven't seen addressed in any of the reports so far is that this must be a war crime/illegal under international law (I know, I know...no such thing really).
I mean, even if they can get away with saying it was Hezbollah they were targeting (for security reasons, say), what about all the potential carnage that might have ensued from the detonations?
Guys driving and losing control in a heavily populated area, ploughing into kids...that kind of thing?
Just no telling the damage these thousands of detonations could have caused.
Again, just imagine the outcry if thousands of pagers or mobile phones had exploded in Israel!
