I agree with you on the pushback opportunities. I think he was probably trying to give him enough rope to hang himself (which is pretty easy with this fabulist) but I would have liked Matt to be more incisive and to stay on point rather than letting him slither away on to something else; he definitely has the knowledge to have done that so I think it has to be deliberate.

Can you believe he was exposed as a serial fantasist and even the Jewish Chronicle had to get rid of him (as if they didn't know what he was doing the whole time)? This was sarcasm btw
